Summer is (almost) here and this girl has a list of adventures to seize! Thanks to Ford Canada for making sure I am able to tick off my list this season by letting me have access to a small arsenal of cars! #whendidthisbecomemylife
First up was a brand new 2015 Ford Fusion, talk about love at first drive! I’m glad I didn’t get a schpill of the car’s features coz I got to discover them for myself.
Top 5 Ford Fusion Faves
1. Intelligent Technology: The car senses how close it is to the center line. When you stray close/over the line, the wheel gently nudges you to be more centered, MIND BLOWN!
2. Safety Features: Rear camera, rear and front park aid and a light that comes on when there’s a car on either side.
3. Attention grabber: The amount of compliments and curious questions I got were insane!!
4. Bad-ass rims and a luxurious red leather interior won my heart right off the bat.
5. Bluetooth technology and flawlessly syncing to my phone and playing my jams made for a jamming 2 weeks!
I seriously am suffering from withdrawal right now since I took the car back two days ago!

NOW, onto my first solo road trip. I drove to Moncton, New Brunswick just under 3 hrs from Halifax. My friend Zahra lives there and played guide to my tourist. Moncton has beautiful historic churches, courtyards in between buildings which make for great walkways, rest stops and restaurant patios. We drove through Dieppe and Riverview making sure to stop to get a closer looks at gorgeous buildings. As a blogger, I’m forever on the lookout for great walls to shoot by, thanks to Zahra for indulging my excited squeals and turning around so I could snap a few pics by colored walls! We grabbed a bite at Tide & Boar Gastropub and enjoyed 21 degree weather on their patio. We shared a boar poutine and a burger and salad. The salad was THE best I’ve ever had. Also it re-introduced me to beets and golly I’ve missed out my whole life. I had one bad experience as a kid and never ate them again. We then strolled a little bit more and passed by Gusto, a flawless and aesthetically pleasing restaurant with mind-blowing cheesecake which we picked up to go. Guys my cheesecake was carrot cake cheesecake with carrot cake.. 2 cakes in one.. withdrawal shakes..
We headed back to Zahra’s gorgeous apartment, made tea and talked world domination. I drove back in the evening and blissfully thought how that day couldn’t have been more perfect!
Road trip #2 is already planned!
