I have this image in my head of an elderly African man wearing a Kufi.
There are words that linger in the space between him and the young ones who revere and follow him.
Words like wisdom, manhood, royalty, storyteller,  peacemaker and noble.
I am building my little collection of Kufi inspired hats.
Different colours, different embellishments and different textures.
They make me feel like royalty.
A crown wearer. A queen.
