20 Nov Fur Stoles: the cozy winter accessory that’s too legit to quit
I’m sitting here writing this post; hands frozen, absolutely numb. With teeth still rattling, I’m questioning if this shoot was even worth it? Will I live long enough to see my mother in a few days? WHY IS IT SO COLD!?”
Now that winter is upon us, in creeps up the need for warm and cozy accessories all for the pursuit of warmth without sacrificing on style. Huzzah to keeping ourselves toasty and unrelentingly stylish at the same damn time! In celebrating this – celebrating used very VERY lightly – Mo and I dusted off our faux fur stoles and styled them to polish up our looks.
Please do yourselves a favor and invest in a fur stole. This simple yet functional accessory can bring life to a winter coat and increase the wearability of blazers and denim or leather jackets, you name it!
In anticipation of your “Are they expensive?” “Where can I find one?” questions; Yes, they can be expensive, however if you know Mo and I, you know we are all about frugal shopping and hunting for clothes in thrift and vintage stores. We found our amazing stoles at one of our favorite thrift places; Value Village. Honorable mention goes out to Salvation Army and a local Halifax favorite called Dress in Time as our other go to places.
Now go ahead and sift through those thrift bins and get yourself one!
