07 May FASHION Magazine: and now, The Great Gatsby

For this week’s FASHION Magazine Style Panel we took to The Great Gatsby in anticipation of the movie’s remake.  So for the challenge we had to take a page out of The Great Gatsby and dress up in 20’s inspired garb without it being costumey. The great thing about inspiration is that you can get it from everywhere and you take what you need and make it your own. I’m honestly not a fan of women’s style in the 20s instead I love how the men dressed. They were dashing and seemed to do it so effortlessly. So I took to the striped shirts, bow ties and blazers and voila!

p.s. am I the only who is not that phased by the remake of this movie? I mean I’ll probably watch it months from now just to see what the hype was all about.  *kanye shrug*
