Day Two of my Dominican Republic experience started a little later than expected. I woke up with a headache and needed to sleep in a bit more. When I was feeling a lot better we headed for the mermaid pool for some dips and drinks.
On this day I got to see what the hype was all about re: a pool bar. And yes, YES. it. is. everything. Sitting in the pool on a hot day and still getting drinks without moving is what life is all about. HA! I’m kidding, there’s obviously more to life – getting drinks AND food at the pool bar is what life is all about! LOL As we sat at the pool bar with got to experience the foam party: there’s something about bubbles, they just turn you into a kid all over again!
We skipped lunch because our day had started late so we just headed back to our room and got ready for dinner. I wore a spaghetti-strap jumpsuit with a striped tee underneath it because I don’t like it when my bra strap is thicker than that of the clothing I’m wearing. So yay layering = hashtag winning
For dinner we opted for the buffet again because seriously, we couldn’t get enough of it and the options were just so many that all our cravings were satiated. After dinner, we went back to our room, did a little work then went for some late night drinks and entertainment. There’s a casino, bars and a night club. We chilled in the main area on some comfy couches, with some yummy drinks and listened to music and people watched!
