20 Mar DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | DAY ONE
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic gets my first passport stamp of the year and my first all-inclusive resort experience: an adventure I got to take in with my life and blogger twin Assa of My Curves and Curls. We arrived at Toronto’s Pearson Airport to check in with Sunwing Airlines at the Elite Plus counter. Our Elite Plus seats gave us access to priority check-in, complimentary headphones on the plane and leg room that left this 5″11 girl’s life changed. The ability to stretch and cross my legs without them jamming into the seat in front of me was. just. freaking. amazing!
After a much-needed delay to de-ice the plane because duh! Canada, we jetted off yearning for warmer temperatures. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our private driver from Nexus Tours and were off for a 35 min drive to the resort, Chic Punta Cana.
As Diamond Club members we got to check in at a designated area, got bracelets which let us access all the areas at the resort AND doubled as our room key. I thought this was pretty spectacular, it really added to my worry-free week! Because we arrived in the evening, we were exhausted, went straight to dinner and called it a night!
We woke up the next morning, grabbed some breakfast and headed to the beach! For lunch we opted for the beach side grill. Assa had the beef kebabs and I went for the caprese salad. After catching a few more rays we got to our room, had showers and got dressed and prettied up for dinner.

Shout out to the weird, intricate and beautiful beast that is nature, to leave minus 18 degrees Celsius and be in 30 degree weather in just 4 hours still boggles my mind!
