26 Aug eloquii // the tulle project

I’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time! To have my first collaboration with a major plus size company under my belt is a dream come true! When Eloquii approached me to be a part of their Tutu Project, I caught a case of spontaneous dance breaks and the giggles! I was beyond thrilled! The challenge was to do anything I wanted to a tutu they’d picked out for me, shoot a look in it and send it back to them to be auctioned with the proceeds going to my charity of choice!

I hesitantly deconstructed the whole tutu. I decided to make a completely different skirt with a striped fabric paying homage to my love for prints and my home in the east coast by the water! I then added tulle on either side of the skirt and voila! Now, the skirt is ready for its new home! It’s ready for your bidding on e-Bay. In fact, there are already 7 bids (wow!!) In addition to the skirt, the winning bidder will get an outfit from Eloquii valued at $250 + a style consultation with the Eloquii Design Team.

My charity of choice is Munhu, Inc a organization that benefits children in rural Zimbabwe (where I was born) who have been orphaned by AIDS. Choosing a Zimbabwean charity was a no-brainer for me. I hope to be able to do more for Zimbabwe in the future, this is just the beginning!

I had an absolute blast creating this skirt, being dolled up by the beautiful Megan Morrison, shooting with the brilliant Brent McCombs and being part of this AMAZING opportunity! I’m SO thankful for all your love and support, it helps to grow my reach and bring more opportunities my way. I will forever be giddy whenever I think of this collaboration!
