24 Aug charity | a fall outfit & supporting big brothers big sisters

It’s been about a week now since I posted about AIR MILES’ Better Bonus Event. I’ve made a stop at Staples for shipping supplies for skirt and tutu orders, The Children’s Place for a friend’s wee one and Old Navy for some pre-fall pieces. I’m not thrilled that I’m already starting to look at fall clothing! Here are some pieces I picked and created into a full look! There’s still time to earn more miles while doing things that you already love to do (i.e shopping) at the same time giving to a worthy cause. I also wanted to share with you a little bit more about Big Brothers Big Sisters.
5 things About Big Brothers Big Sisters
1. One can mentor as a Big Brother to boys/young men, Big Sister to girls/young women or spouses/partners mentoring kids as a Big Couple.
2. There’s an in-school program where one dedicates an hour a week to hang with a child to chat, do crafts and play board games
3. There are donation bins located all over the city/country where one can donate clothes. (I just took 2 big contractor bags the other day!)
4. Numerous organizations, like AIR MILES, partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters, so keep up with events, giveaways, raffles and other fundraising endeavors here.
5. The Greater Halifax Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters has been impacting children’s lives since 1967!
