After successfully maintaining a style blog, Curvy Geekery since 2010, Mo knew that she needed to take a bigger step towards a platform that encapsulated more of who she is. Looking towards her last name, Handahu, which means lion hunter, she re-branded and this site launched in 2013. Everything that followed has been organic, confident and joyful.
Lion Hunter has evolved from a singular narrative to a sibling duo of Mo and Ten primarily giving a his and hers take on style. The brother/sister combo’s chemistry is infectious, natural and all kinds of cool. Both live by the essence of their last name, hunting for the majestic in themselves and in everything they come across.
By day, Mo is a Digital Content Strategist for a Halifax-based branding company specializing in lifestyle, restaurant and real estate industries. Mo juggles that with curating this blog and being a freelance writer. Her work can be seen on Essence Magazine, Huffington Post and Fashion Magazine. Mo is a sought-after style maven who’s quirky aesthetic has landed her on the Style Panel for Fashion Magazine and a Style Ambassador for Le Chateau. She’s worked on campaigns for Eloquii, Michael Kors, Nine West, Mic Mac Mall, Value Village and Winners to name a few. Worthy of note accolades include

While experimenting with ultra-cool menswear comes naturally to Ten, he is a Policy Analyst by day, an avid reader and a history and politics buff. His work is focused on African Nova Scotian and global African politics.
On lion-hunter.com you’ll find a positive and welcoming space, unapologetic style and cool lifestyle stories sharing the majestic.
